Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, will integrate Phoenix Contact’s Virtual PLCnext Control software solution as part of its solution for the manufacturing industry.
Customers from the manufacturing industry can take advantage of Alibaba Cloud’s cloud and edge infrastructure offering, starting in Greater China and Asia. The cooperation between the two companies was announced at the SPS automation trade fair in Nuremberg.
Alibaba Cloud is thus expanding its range of cloud solutions to the OT sector. PLCnext Technology is the open ecosystem for industry automation from Phoenix Contact. The use of Virtual PLCnext Control also enables the use of PLCnext Engineer and access to the PLCnext Store.
