From 15 May, the sales department will have an even stronger voice in the Phoenix Contact organization. This is because Stephan Volgmann will be joining the five-member Group Executive Board. The long-standing top manager will strengthen the Group Executive Board as CSO, Chief Sales Officer.
Stephan Volgmann has been head of the Phoenix Contact Germany sales company since July 2020. Prior to that, the electrical engineering graduate was responsible for Vertical Market Management ‘Energy and Process Technology’. A specialist with a technical background and national and international sales experience, who also has a convinced “Phoenixian” – this is how one can imagine an optimal appointment: “We are pleased to have gained an experienced sales expert in Stephan Volgmann, who will take on relevant management impulses in an overarching overall responsibility and further strengthen the strategic orientation of our global sales structure,” emphasizes Christoph Klenk, chairman of the advisory board of Phoenix Contact.
With the addition of a Chief Sales Officer to the Group Executive Board, Phoenix Contact is consistently demonstrating both customer proximity and its commitment to growth at the highest management level. This underlines the role of sales within the overall company management.
The Group Executive Board continues to include the current members Chief Executive Officer Dirk Görlitzer, Chief Operating Officer Torsten Janwlecke, Chief Operating Officer Ulrich Leidecker, Chief Technology Officer Frank Possel-Dölken and Chief Financial Officer Axel Wachholz.
