So test how you bind yourself

Phoenix Testlab and the Shenzhen Inspection Institute (SMQ) signed a cooperation agreement at the beginning of September. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marks the beginning of an in-depth cooperation between the two testing companies.

“The partnership aims to optimize the certification and testing of products for both SMQ and Testlab,” says Max Rüter, General Manager of Phoenix Testlab, explaining the reason for the MoU. Both companies have already worked together successfully in the past and are now planning to intensify this cooperation further. Customers on both sides will benefit from faster and more efficient processes as well as a range of new services. This is because testing materials and products requires enormous effort and is subject to constant technological innovations.

SMQ has been providing innovative services to the Chinese market since 1999 and is recognized by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA and by Industry Canada (now ISED) in Canada since 2002. Phoenix Testlab was founded over 25 years ago as the first start-up of Phoenix Contact. As an independent service provider, the Blomberg-based company is internationally recognized and in demand for the market approval and testing of technical products, for example in the automotive industry, shipbuilding or aerospace. Phoenix Testlab also supports customers in Asia via a subsidiary in Taipei.
